バイデン大統領がコロナに感染し、飛行機のタラップを弱々しく上っていくテレビの映像を見て、バイデン氏は、トランプ氏に絶対に勝てないと確信した。
だから、バイデン大統領には撤退を決断してくれないかと願うばかりである。
昨日、共和党のバンス副大統領候補が演説で、「中国は最大の脅威。ウクライナ問題は速やかに決着させ、中国対策に集中するべきだ。」と語った。
私は、「中国は最大の脅威に違いはないが、一方的にウクライナに侵攻したプーチン大統領を絶対許してはいけない。プーチン政権をまず崩壊させることが最優先だ。」と考える。
アメリカがプーチン大統領と融和することになれば、それは世界の民主主義の崩壊に繋がると大変危惧している。
そういった観点から、プーチン政権を徹底的に追い詰めてくれる政党は、民主党であると確信しているので、銃撃事件で英雄になったトランプ氏に逆転劇を演じてくれる候補者が民主党から現れないかと密かに期待している。
