トランプの認識の浅はかさ ウクライナ戦争に関して
9月23日、トランプがウクライナの停戦に関して、マクロン大統領に「私とプーチンの関係があるから容易だと思っていた。残念なことにその関係は何の意味もなかった」と心境を吐露したとの由。
トランプが「私だったら24時間以内でウクライナ戦争を終わらせることができる」と豪語した理由は、このようなものだったのか。もしそうだとしたら、トランプの認識は極めて浅はかと言わざるを得ない。私を含め、多くの人が、ウクライナ戦争はプーチンの領土奪還を目的とした戦争であり、友情だけで終結させることはできないと当初から認識していた。
なぜ、大統領という立場にある人物が、このような基本的な事実を理解できていなかったのか。
極めて残念だ。

Trump's shallowness of perception
On September 23, Trump reportedly confessed to President Macron regarding the ceasefire in Ukraine, saying, "I thought it would be easy because of my relationship with Putin. Unfortunately, that relationship meant nothing."
Was this the reason why Trump boasted, "I could end the Ukraine war in 24 hours?" If so, one has to say that Trump's understanding is extremely shallow. Many people, including myself, recognized from the beginning that the Ukraine war was a war aimed at Putin's territorial recapture and that it could not be ended through friendship alone.
Why can someone in the position of president not understand such a basic fact?
It is extremely unfortunate.
