形骸化する国際憲章と三大国の暴走 ｜ 地球の寿命を縮める「力による現状変更」
国連は、国際社会の平和と安全を維持することを目的に、1945年に米国や旧ソ連を含む51ヵ国が参加して誕生した。そこには、平和への脅威を未然に防ぎ、侵略行為を抑止するための仕組みが備わっている。
しかし現在、米国はパリ協定やユネスコから離脱し、さらにトランプは、66もの国際機関からの脱退を相次いで表明した。
2026年１月３日、トランプはベネズエラへの軍事侵攻を強行し、同国を掌中に収めた。まさに、武力による現状変更を世界に見せつけた格好だ。トランプはさらにグリーンランド、ひいてはコロンビアやメキシコへも力による攻勢を強める構えを見せており、これこそがトランプの唱える、米国を強くするということなんだろう。
時を同じくして、中国は台湾を、ロシアはウクライナを、それぞれ力によって侵攻・掌握しようとしている。
安全保障理事会の常任理事国である米・中・ロが対立し、自国の繁栄のために平然と国際法を無視して力による支配を強めている現状では、国連はもはや無力化していると言わざるを得ない。それどころか、組織の維持すら危うい状況であり、国際憲章は完全に形骸化している。
中国は米国の独走を逆手に取り、表向きは国際協調を訴えている。しかし、かつての米国のように多額の拠出を行い、人道支援に積極的に動くとは到底思えない。中国は利権争いにおいて極めてしたたかであり、米国はその中国が伸ばした触手を後から封じ込めようと躍起になっている感が否めない。
これら三大国が自国の繁栄のみを追求し、好き勝手に振る舞っている現状は、地球そのものの寿命を縮めているようなものだ。
もし米国が「世界の警察官」としての役割に疲れているのであれば、三大国がその責任を分担し、世界秩序の安定のために力を合わせて「世界の警察官」の役割を担うことはできないのだろうか。混迷を極める国際情勢の中で、その必要性を痛感せずにはいられない。

The International Charter becoming a mere formality and the Three Great Powers acting recklessly
The United Nations was founded in 1945 with the participation of 51 countries, including the United States and the former Soviet Union, with the aim of maintaining international peace and security. It has mechanisms in place to prevent threats to peace and deter acts of aggression.
However, the United States has now withdrawn from the Paris Agreement and UNESCO, and Trump has announced his withdrawal from 66 international organizations.
On January 3, 2026, Trump launched a military invasion of Venezuela and took control of the country. This was a clear demonstration to the world of his use of force to change the status quo. Trump is also poised to intensify his offensive by force in Greenland, and even Colombia and Mexico. This is perhaps what Trump means by strengthening the United States.
At the same time, China is attempting to invade and seize Taiwan, and Russia is attempting to seize Ukraine by force.
The United Nations has become powerless in the current situation, where the United States, China, and Russia—all permanent members of the Security Council—are at odds and brazenly ignoring international law and strengthening their control through force for the sake of their own national prosperity. In fact, the organization's very existence is in jeopardy, and the International Charter has become a mere formality.
China has taken advantage of the United States' unilateralism and publicly advocates international cooperation. However, it is hard to imagine it will make large contributions or actively engage in humanitarian aid, as the United States once did. China is extremely cunning in its struggle for interests, and it is undeniable that the United States is desperately trying to contain China's extended tentacles.
The current situation, in which these three major powers do as they please and pursue only their own prosperity, is shortening the lifespan of the planet itself.
If the United States is tired of its role as the "world's policeman," could the three major powers share that responsibility, join forces to ensure a stable global order, and assume this role? In the current extremely chaotic international situation, I cannot help but feel keenly aware of the need for this.
