トランプの「平和評議会」構想にNOを！日本が貫くべき平和の理念
トランプはグリーンランド購入を巡り、賛同しない欧州諸国に対して高関税をかけると脅すなど、その行動は常軌を逸している。
さらに国連を軽視し、自ら「平和評議会」の設立を提案して欧州各国や日本に招待状を送ったが、こうした「力による平和」という彼の考え方には到底同調できない。
トランプは自国第一主義を唱えながら、国際社会でリーダー役を買って出ようとしているが、これは明らかな矛盾である。提案に賛成しない国には関税を武器に脅しをかけ、各国に「踏み絵」を迫るつもりだろう。また、常任参加国になるためには1600億円もの「参加費」が必要だというが、あまりにも理不尽で馬鹿げている。
フランスのマクロン大統領が、トランプの提案する評議会への招待を拒否したのは当然だ。
さて、日本はどう対応していくのだろうか。参加すればトランプの機嫌を取り、一時的に日本の国益を守ることにはなるかもしれないが、それでは戦後日本が掲げてきた平和の理念が根底から崩れてしまう。
高市首相には、たとえ目先の国益を損ねるリスクがあっても、トランプの任期が残り３年であることを踏まえ、毅然と拒否してほしい。何でもトランプの言いなりになるのが日本の進むべき道ではないはずだ。
欧州各国もマクロン大統領にならい、拒否の姿勢を示すことでトランプに心理的な圧力をかけてほしい。各国は、トランプが提案する独りよがりの国際機関には参加しないことを明確に表明すべきである。
特に高市首相においては、過度な追従は厳禁だ。トランプに対し「ノーベル平和賞に推薦する」といった、国民感情とかけ離れたおべっかは一切口にしないでほしい。

Say NO to Trump’s "Peace Council": The Principles of Peace Japan Must Uphold
Trump’s actions have become increasingly erratic, evidenced by his threats to impose high tariffs on European nations that opposed his attempt to purchase Greenland.
Furthermore, showing a blatant disregard for the United Nations, he has proposed the establishment of his own "Peace Council" and sent invitations to Japan and various European countries. We simply cannot align ourselves with his philosophy of "peace through strength."
While Trump champions "America First," he simultaneously attempts to cast himself as a leader in the international community—a glaring contradiction. It is clear that he intends to use tariffs as a weapon to intimidate those who disagree with his proposal, effectively forcing a "loyalty test" upon nations. Moreover, the demand for a "participation fee" of 160 billion yen to become a permanent member is both unreasonable and absurd.
It was only natural for President Macron of France to reject the invitation to Trump’s proposed council.
The question now is how Japan will respond. Participating might appease Trump and temporarily protect Japan’s national interests, but doing so would fundamentally undermine the principles of peace that post-war Japan has long upheld.
I urge Prime Minister Takaichi to take a resolute stand and refuse this invitation, even at the risk of damaging short-term national interests, especially considering that Trump has only three years left in his term. Following Trump’s every whim is not the path Japan should take.
European nations should follow President Macron’s lead and exert psychological pressure on Trump by showing a united front of rejection. Every nation should clearly state that they will not participate in a self-serving international organization proposed by Trump.
Specifically, for Prime Minister Takaichi, excessive sycophancy is strictly forbidden. I hope she refrains from empty flattery—such as suggesting she would "nominate him for the Nobel Peace Prize"—which is completely out of touch with public sentiment.
